Acting on a tip-off, Sub-Inspector Madhab Halder, Station House Officer of Rangat Police Station, mobilized a specialized team consisting of Police Constables K. Samir and Zebulon. The proactive team successfully confiscated a substantial quantity of illicit liquor hidden in the Shyamkund forest area of Bakultala.

The raid resulted in the seizure of 180 litres of Lehan, along with 14 iron tins, various utensils, and timber materials utilised in the production process. These materials were discreetly concealed within the jungle. Promptly following the confiscation, all seized items were destroyed, delivering a significant blow to the illegal liquor manufacturing network operating in the region.
