In preparation for the upcoming General Election-2024, the South Andaman District Police has launched a proactive campaign to ensure widespread awareness and participation among the public. As part of this initiative, strategic hoardings and selfie points have been installed at prominent locations including Flag Point, Marina Park, Cellular Jail, and Corbyn’s Cove.

The primary objective behind these installations is to actively engage and educate citizens about the significance of their participation in the democratic process by casting their votes.

With the General Election scheduled for April 19, 2024, the message resonating from these hoardings and selfie points is clear: every vote counts, and it is crucial for citizens to exercise their democratic right to vote. The campaign emphasises the collective responsibility of the community to shape the future through active participation in the electoral process.

Furthermore, the South Andaman District Police reaffirmed their commitment to spreading awareness on the importance of voting, along with the strict implementation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC), aimed at ensuring a fair and transparent electoral process. Additionally, efforts are underway to maintain vigilance and uphold security measures to safeguard against anti-social activities in the district.

As the General Election-2024 approaches, the collaborative efforts of the South Andaman District Police and the community serve as a testament to the commitment towards fostering a vibrant and participatory democracy.
