As the Parliamentary Election-2024 approaches, special arrangements have been made to facilitate voting for Absentee Voters belonging to certain categories. These include Senior Citizens, Persons with Disability (PwDs), individuals suspected or affected by Covid-19, and those categorised under essential services, who are eligible to vote through Postal Ballot.

In line with these provisions, Mobile Polling Teams will embark on a mission to visit the homes of eligible voters falling within the aforementioned categories. Scheduled for April 12 and 13, 2024, these visits will facilitate voting for the above mentioned categories of persons.

The purpose of these visits is to enable eligible voters to exercise their democratic right from the comfort of their homes. All eligible voters falling within the Senior Citizens, PwDs, Covid suspect/affected categories, and essential services personnel, who have been approved for voting by Postal Ballot, are urged to make themselves available at home on the specified dates.

This initiative underscores the commitment of the electoral authorities to uphold inclusivity and accessibility in the electoral process. By reaching out directly to eligible voters at their residences, Mobile Polling Teams seek to eliminate barriers to voting and promote greater participation in the democratic process.
