A & N Police Hosts Yoga & Meditation Session for Police Personnel at Police Lines

Armed Police Unit at Police Lines (Port Blair) orchestrated a revitalizing Yoga and Meditation session on the morning of May 9, 2024, aimed at fortifying the physical and mental well-being of its personnel. The event saw active engagement from approximately 71 police officers, underscoring the department’s dedication to fostering comprehensive health practices among its staff.

Led by Mr. Satish Kinlekar, Mr. Pradeep Solasker, Sahaja Yoga Meditation Experts, Mr. Ajit Kakde (Keyboard Musician), Ms. Anandita Basu (Singer), and Mr. Sunder Rao, State Coordinator, along with their Sahaja Yoga Kendra team, the session commenced at 0700 hrs in the Drill Hall at Police Lines. It kicked off with gentle stretching exercises and breathing techniques meticulously crafted to alleviate stress and induce relaxation of the mind. Participants then delved into various Yoga Asanas, focusing on enhancing flexibility, strength, and balance.

Following the Yoga segment, a guided meditation practice unfolded, offering participants the opportunity to nurture mindfulness and inner peace. Through mindfulness techniques, officers were encouraged to center themselves, fostering mental clarity and emotional resilience, accentuating the significance of prioritizing self-care and holistic wellness within law enforcement agencies.

Expressing gratitude, the Andaman & Nicobar Police extended appreciation to the Sahaja Yoga Meditation experts and their team for their invaluable guidance and expertise in orchestrating the session. Such initiatives underline the department’s proactive stance towards nurturing a healthy and robust workforce, poised to meet the demands of duty with vitality and resilience.
