Chief Electoral Officer Conducts Inspection of Counting Centre and Strong Room of ANIPC

Mr. Balwan Singh Jaglan, IAS, the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, oversaw a comprehensive inspection of the Counting Centre and Strong Room designated for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Parliamentary Constituency. This inspection, held in preparation for the Lok Sabha Elections-2024 conducted on April 19, 2024, aimed to ensure the smooth and transparent counting of votes.

During the inspection, Mr. Jaglan meticulously reviewed the facilities and arrangements established at the Counting Centre and the Strong Room. His focus was on guaranteeing a seamless process while also maintaining the utmost integrity and transparency. Emphasizing the importance of strict adherence to electoral protocols set by the Election Commission of India, he underscored the critical role of robust arrangements in upholding the sanctity of the democratic process.

The CEO received detailed briefings on the arrangements put in place to facilitate an efficient electoral process. He was assured by the District Administration that all necessary measures are being diligently implemented in compliance with the Election Commission of India’s guidelines.

Accompanying Mr. Jaglan during the inspection were Mr. Arjun Sharma, IAS, the Returning Officer for ANIPC, along with Ms. Monika Bhardwaj, IPS, , DIGP/SPNO and Mr. Manjeet Sheoran, IPS, ASPNO.

The thorough inspection conducted by the Chief Electoral Officer underscores the commitment of election officials to ensuring the integrity and transparency of the electoral process in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Parliamentary Constituency. With meticulous planning and adherence to electoral protocols, preparations are well underway for the forthcoming counting of votes.
