In observance of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on June 26, 2024, the Directorate of Social Welfare, in collaboration with Pankh Andaman and the Chinmaya Mission Youth Wing, is set to organise a marathon event aimed at raising awareness about the detrimental effects of drug abuse and the critical need to combat illicit trafficking.
The event will take place on June 26, 2024, with participant registration commencing at 3:30 PM at the Netaji Stadium Gate. The marathon will kick off at 4:00 PM, starting from Netaji Stadium, proceeding to Flag Point, and concluding back at Netaji Stadium.
The organisers invite the general public to participate in this significant event, aligning with this year’s theme for International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking: “The evidence is clear: invest in prevention.” This theme emphasises the importance of preventive measures in tackling the global issue of drug abuse.
