Applications Open for National Award for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities – 2024

The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, has announced the opening of the portal for the National Award for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, 2024. This prestigious award aims to recognize and honour individuals and organisations that have made significant contributions to the empowerment of persons with disabilities.

The National Award for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities is an annual event celebrating exemplary achievements in various fields, including education, employment, creative arts, and sports. The awards highlight the exceptional work done by individuals, institutions, and organisations striving to create an inclusive society for persons with disabilities.

Applications and nominations for the 2024 awards are invited through online mode only on the password-protected centralised portal designed by the Ministry of Home Affairs at www.awards.gov.in. The portal opened on June 15, 2024, and will remain open until July 31, 2024.

Interested individuals and organisations can submit their applications or nominations at www.awards.gov.in. All submissions must be made through the online portal, and physical forms will not be accepted. The nominations should include all relevant details specified in the format available on the portal, clearly outlining notable and inspiring achievements.
