The Chairman of the ANTCC Campaign Committee, Mr. TSG Bhasker, has called for compensation and immediate repair of houses of the victims of the landslide in Prem Nagar, triggered by heavy rains.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, Mr. Bhasker highlighted the severe damage to houses has forced residents to seek refuge in Yatri Niwas, Haddo.
Mr. Bhasker urged the Chief Secretary to intervene and instruct the relevant departments to promptly construct a retaining wall in the affected area. This measure, he believes, will ensure the safety of the residents and allow them to return to their homes.
Additionally, he requested financial compensation for the affected families to help them rebuild their lives.
