In a significant move towards digital governance, the South Andaman District Administration has announced that all registration processes for landed property in the district will now be conducted online. The initiative was officially launched by the Chief Secretary of the Andaman and Nicobar Administration, Mr. Keshav Chandra, IAS, in a ceremony attended by Commissioner-cum-Secretary Ms. Nandini Paliwal, IAS, and Secretary Revenue Mr. BS Jaglan, IAS. The project was spearheaded by Deputy Commissioner of South Andaman, Mr. Arjun Sharma, IAS.
As part of this initiative, the registration of Relinquishment Deeds has been integrated into the National Generic Document Registration System (NGDRS). Citizens can access this service through the official portal http://www.onlineregistrationani.gov.in.
This transition to an online system aims to streamline the registration process, enhancing efficiency and user-friendliness. The administration is committed to eliminating manual interfaces entirely, ensuring a seamless digital experience for property registrations.
