Commuters, tourists, and the general public have been alerted that the ongoing cyclonic weather conditions, along with the hoisting of Cautionary Signal No. III at Sri Vijaya Puram Ports, may lead the Directorate of Shipping Services to suspend or cancel Inter-Island and Foreshore Sector vessels on short notice.

The safety of passengers and vessels remains the top priority during these adverse weather conditions. Consequently, operations for Harbour and Vehicle ferry services between Chatham, Bambooflat, Dundas Point, Hope Town, Phoenix Bay, and at various outstations may also be disrupted or suspended based on evolving weather patterns.

In light of these developments, all commuters and tourists are urged to plan their journeys accordingly to minimise inconvenience. For the latest updates on vessel status, passengers can reach out to the Information Counter at Phoenix Bay via phone at 03192 – 245555 or 232714, or use the Toll-Free number: 1800 345 2714.
