74 New Positive Cases in Islands Declared on 30th April 2021

Andaman and Nicobar Islands recorded 74 new positive cases of COVID-19 as declared in the official Health Bulletin on 30th April 2021. Overall there are 181 active cases of COVID-19 in the Islands now. 05 deaths have been recorded in the second wave of COVID-19 till 30th April 2021.

Altogether from March 2020 Andaman and Nicobar Islands have recorded 5949 cases of COVID-19 out of which 5701 have cured and 67 have lost their lives.

As on 30th April 2021 01 isolation bed in North and Middle Andaman is occupied out of 286 beds available, in South Andaman 180 isolation beds are occupied out of 5583 isolation beds available. In Nicobar 0 out of 507 isolation beds available are occupied.

10 Containment Zones have been formed in South Andaman District.

Andaman and Nicobar Islands have tested 370896 samples for COVID-19 till 30th April 2021. The Test Positivity Rate in the Islands stands at 1.60% now. 

Overall 108597 vaccine doses have been administered to the beneficiaries in Andaman and Nicobar Islands till 30th April 2021. 95090 beneficiaries have received their first doses of COVID-19 vaccines in the Islands, whereas 13507 have also received their second dose.
