Geetanjali Khandelwal Recognised as Best Performing Officer in Anti-Smuggling Operations by FICCI

Ms. Geetanjali Khandelwal, IPS, Superintendent of Police for the North & Middle Andaman District, has been awarded the prestigious award of “Best Performing Officer in Anti-Smuggling Operations” by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) at the national level.

Under her exemplary leadership, the North & Middle Andaman Police have made significant strides in combating poaching and smuggling in the region. Notable achievements during her tenure include the apprehension of approximately 100 poachers, the seizure of 10 large engine dinghies valued at ₹2.5 crores, and the interception of 2,000 kilograms of sea cucumbers worth ₹5 crores, all of which were intended for illegal trade.

This recognition highlights Ms. Khandelwal’s unwavering commitment to maintaining law and order while protecting the rich natural resources of the islands. Her relentless efforts continue to inspire her team and reinforce the fight against illegal activities in the area.

The Andaman & Nicobar Police expressed immense pride in her achievements and congratulated Ms. Khandelwal on this well-deserved honour, reaffirming their confidence in her continued service and excellence in the years to come.
