In a bid to enhance effective governance at the grassroots level and foster a people-friendly administration, the Vigilance Department and Anti-Corruption Unit will observe Vigilance Awareness Week 2024 from October 28 to November 3. This initiative aims to emphasize the principles of good governance, which encompass transparency, accountability, inclusivity, and efficiency in decision-making and implementation.

The theme for this year’s observance, “Culture of Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity,” seeks to redefine the narrative surrounding vigilance work by removing its negative connotations. By promoting integrity, the initiative aspires to contribute positively to the overall functioning of the administration and pave the way for a corruption-free society.

Authorities have requested the general public to report any credible information related to corruption involving public servants. Citizens can reach out to the Anti-Corruption Unit at the following contact numbers: Superintendent of Police (SP ACU) at 8900910218 or 03192-240840, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Dy.SP ACU) at 9434289897 or 03192-232249, and Station House Officer (SHO ACU) at 9474232161 or 03192-244698. Additionally, reports can be submitted via email at spac.and@nic.in or dyspac.an@nic.in.

Through this week-long observance, the Vigilance Department aims to strengthen community engagement in the fight against corruption and promote a culture of integrity for the prosperity of the nation.
