Pahargaon Police Cracks Kodiyaghat Masjid  Donation Box Theft Case in 24 Hours

In line with their zero tolerance policy against crime, the Pahargaon Police Station has successfully solved a theft case involving the donation box at Al-Hidaya Masjid in Kodiyaghat, leading to the arrest of the accused and the recovery of the stolen property.

On October 28, 2024, Mr. Abdul Karim, the Secretary of Al-Hidaya Masjid, reported the theft of a donation box containing cash to the police. Acting swiftly on the complaint, a team was assembled, including Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Semaiah, Head Constable (HC) Ravi Kumar Limbu, and Police Constable (PC) Rahul Kr. Maurya.

The investigating team reviewed CCTV footage from the vicinity, which enabled them to identify the suspect as Abdul Sajad, a resident of Ograbraj. Upon interrogation, Sajad confessed to the crime, leading the police to the recovery of the stolen property hidden in a nearby Nallah.

Under the leadership of Inspector Mohd Elias, Station House Officer (SHO) of PS Pahargaon, the team managed to resolve the case within 24 hours of the initial report.
