Andaman & Nicobar Police Commemorates Rastriya Ekta Diwas with Grand Parade

On October 31st, the Andaman & Nicobar Police organized a ceremonial parade to celebrate Rastriya Ekta Diwas, honouring the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. This annual observance serves as a powerful reminder of national unity, encouraging citizens to contribute towards a united and secure India.

The event commenced with a vibrant march featuring contingents from the Andaman & Nicobar Police, including the Executive Police, India Reserve Battalion (IRBN), Brass Band, and Ladies Pipe Band. The parade infused a spirited sense of patriotism into the atmosphere, while the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) participated, symbolizing the collective strength of the country’s security forces. Led by Assistant Commandant Mr. Shanta Bahadur, the procession moved from Dharmshala Junction to the Government Press, where enthusiastic crowds lined the route to cheer the participants. 

The sounds of the A&N Police Brass and Ladies Pipe Bands filled the air, with stirring performances that resonated with the audience, evoking a profound sense of pride. The parade was attended by Mr. Hargobinder Singh Dhaliwal, IPS, Director General of Police, alongside senior officers from the A&N Police, reaffirming their commitment to promoting national unity.

Rastriya Ekta Diwas highlights the strength derived from India’s diversity and emphasizes the importance of safeguarding the nation’s unity, integrity, and security. The Unity Day Parade reflects the Andaman & Nicobar Police’s dedication to upholding the spirit of unity and patriotism inspired by Sardar Patel’s legacy. It not only honours the sacrifices of those who unified and protected the nation but also serves as a reminder for every citizen to play their part in preserving India’s integrity.
