Youth Shine at Yuva Utsav 2024 Declamation and Painting Competitions

As part of Yuva Utsav 2024, the Auditorium of Tagore Government College of Education (TGCE) buzzed with youthful energy on 6th December 2024,  during a Declamation Competition and a Painting Competition, organised in collaboration with TGCE. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, with 45 contestants showcasing their artistic flair in the Painting Competition and 20 participants delivering powerful speeches in the Declamation Contest.

The Chief Guest, Mr. Naresh Chander Lal, Padmashree Awardee and Swachh Bharat Ambassador, graced the occasion with his inspiring presence. Addressing the audience, he shed light on the Viksit Bharat Mission, emphasising the pivotal role of youth in shaping a developed India. Mr. Lal encouraged the participants to channel their creativity and talents toward national progress while underscoring the importance of cleanliness and civic responsibility.

The Declamation Contest was evaluated by an esteemed panel comprising Dr. Nripendra Singh, Dr. Ch. Hemanta—renowned multilingual scholar and National Literature Awardee 2024—and Ms. Shabnam Singh, a dedicated social activist. The Painting Competition was judged by distinguished artists Dr. Rakha Vaidaiy, Ms. A. Shivini Rao, and Mr.  D. Dilleswar Rao. The judges lauded the participants’ exceptional talent and provided constructive feedback to help them hone their skills further.

The event began with a warm welcome extended to the Chief Guest by Mr. Sukh Ranjan Biswas, DD (OSD) with additional charge of Nehru Yuva Kendra, Sri Vijaya Puram. Mr. Biswas presented a traditional shawl to Mr. Lal and elaborated on the objectives of Yuva Utsav, aimed at empowering youth and nurturing leadership. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Gopal Ch. Biswas of Nehru Yuva Kendra, who coordinated the event seamlessly.

Yuva Utsav 2024 provided an excellent platform for young talents to express themselves and engage in constructive dialogue, fostering creativity, responsibility, and a shared commitment to nation-building.
