In a swift and commendable display of community service, the Viqaya Volunteers, the voluntary service wing of the SKSSF Andaman State, cleared a major road blockage at Kadakachang-Nayapuram Road, early morning on 16th December 2024. The blockage, caused by a large tree that had fallen across the road, disrupted access to the area and posed a significant challenge for local commuters.
Responding quickly to the situation, the Viqaya Volunteers mobilised with the necessary tools and worked tirelessly to remove the fallen tree, ensuring the road was cleared and traffic could resume without further delay. Their prompt action not only restored connectivity but also ensured the safety and convenience of the community.
The efforts of the Viqaya Volunteers were widely praised by local residents, as well as the Andaman SKSSF State Committee. A representative of the committee expressed their appreciation, stating, “The Viqaya Volunteers exemplify the true spirit of service and resilience. Their prompt action during this critical time has made a significant difference.”
This incident once again highlights the vital role that voluntary service groups, like the SKSSF Viqaya Wing, play in supporting the community during emergencies and contributing to the well-being of residents.
The local community also expressed their gratitude to the volunteers for their quick response and hard work in restoring normalcy to the area.
