The North and Middle Andaman District Police celebrated the 54th Vijay Diwas with a series of fitness activities and community events, bringing together locals and police personnel to honour the historic day.

The celebration began with a 7-kilometre marathon, which kicked off from the Mini Stadium in Rangat. The event saw an enthusiastic turnout, with approximately 35-40 participants competing. The marathon was organised to encourage physical fitness, promote teamwork, and strengthen the bond between the police force and the local community.

Following the marathon, a fitness competition was held, featuring push-ups, planks, and sit-ups. Participants showcased their strength and endurance in these challenges, and the top performers were awarded trophies, medals, and certificates. The award ceremony took place at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Auditorium in Rangat, where the community gathered to celebrate the achievements of the winners.

In addition to the fitness events, a patriotic movie titled “AMARAN” was screened for the public, attracting a crowd of around 150-200 attendees. The film added a meaningful cultural touch to the day’s activities, drawing attention to the significance of Vijay Diwas and the valour of the Indian armed forces.

The event was a resounding success, with positive feedback from the local community. The North and Middle Andaman District Police expressed their gratitude to all participants, volunteers, and sponsors for their support in making the celebration memorable.

Looking ahead, the police department remains committed to organising more such events that foster fitness, unity, and community spirit.
