A & N Islands Private Practicing Doctors Association Hosts Free Medical Camp at Chatham Saw Mill

The A & N Islands Private Practicing Doctors Association organised a free multi-specialty medical camp at the Chatham Saw Mill premises on December 20, 2024, benefiting mill workers and their families. This initiative aimed to provide much-needed healthcare services to the local community.

A team of dedicated medical professionals volunteered their time and expertise to the camp, including Dr. Supriya, a General Physician from Ritika’s Diagnostic Solutions; Dr. Rahul Prabhu, a Physiotherapist from Pillar Hospital; Pragati and Afreen, Optometrists from Rohin’s Eye Hospital; Dr. Snehesh, a Periodontist and Implantologist from Dinesh Dental Clinic; and Dr. Dinesh, a Dental Surgeon from Dinesh Dental Clinic. They were supported by their medical staff, who ensured smooth operations throughout the event.

A total of 94 patients were screened for various ailments, with some requiring further treatment. Medications were prescribed on-site, while more complicated cases were referred to the G.B. Pant Hospital for advanced care. In a significant addition this year, the camp also provided healthcare consultations to the family members of the mill workers.

The event was coordinated by Mr. Raj Kumar, Assistant Conservator of Forests, along with Mr. Ravi from the mill division and Ms. Kiran Deep K, a pharmacist, who ensured the camp’s smooth functioning and success.
