The ICAR-Central Island Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR-CIARI) has been granted a trademark for the term “DWEEP” (Reg. No: 6350543; J.No: 2171) on January 10, 2025. The trademark will be associated with a range of scientific and technological research services, particularly in the field of agricultural technologies.
“Dweep” will now represent the Institute’s expertise in agricultural research and development, with a special focus on island ecosystems. The trademark covers services such as evaluations, estimates, and reports related to agricultural engineering, as well as technological consultancy in agricultural technologies tailored to the unique needs of tropical island environments.
The granted trademark signifies ICAR-CIARI’s continued commitment to advancing agricultural innovations that address the specific challenges faced by island nations. By using “Dweep,” the Institute aims to emphasize its specialized role in promoting sustainable agricultural practices and fostering technological advancements in island ecosystems.
