Revenue Camp Court Held at Hope Town; Deputy Commissioner Addresses Public Grievances

The District Administration, South Andaman, organized a Revenue Camp Court at the Gram Panchayat, Hope Town, to address the grievances of local residents and provide on-the-spot solutions. The camp was chaired by Mr. Arjun Sharma, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman, and witnessed the presence of Ms. Mariyam Bibi, Zilla Parishad Member, Ms. Rasheeda, Pradhan of Hope Town, and the Pradhan of Mannarghat, along with Panchayat Samiti members and other PRI representatives.

Officials from various departments, including Revenue, Police, APWD, Electricity, Medical, Fire Service, Civil Supply, and the Veterinary Hospital, participated to offer immediate assistance to the residents. The camp saw enthusiastic participation from the local community, with numerous villagers raising their concerns and grievances.

During the interaction, Mr. Arjun Sharma personally addressed the issues brought forth by the villagers and directed the concerned departments to take swift action for resolution. Several revenue-related cases were settled on the spot, providing much-needed relief to the attendees.

In addition to the camp court, the Deputy Commissioner also inaugurated a newly constructed CC Road and Culvert at Mannarghat-05 under the Mannarghat Gram Panchayat on February 8, 2025. He was accompanied by Ms. Sajida Banu, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Mannarghat, Mr. P. Ummer, Zilla Parishad Member, and Mr. A. Rajan, Panchayat Samiti Member, Mannarghat. Following the inauguration, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed various developmental works in the area.

The initiative was widely appreciated by the locals, who expressed gratitude for the proactive efforts of the district administration in addressing their grievances and improving public infrastructure.
