Andaman to Host First-Ever Literature Festival ‘Beyond the Horizon – Andaman LitFest’

In a landmark initiative to celebrate Indian literature and foster cultural and intellectual exchange, the Andaman & Nicobar Administration’s Department of Art & Culture, in collaboration with Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi, is set to host the first-ever “Beyond the Horizon – Andaman LitFest.”

The three-day literary festival will be held at the auditorium of Tagore Government College of Education, Middle Point, from March 27 to 29, 2025, running daily from 10 AM to 5 PM.

The event is expected to feature 25 to 30 writers who have produced their work in various Indian languages, alongside 12 local authors. The festival aims to provide an enriching platform for literary enthusiasts through interactive sessions, discussions, poetry recitations, and competitions.

Adding to the literary vibrancy, the Official Language Department of the A&N Administration will also organize a ‘Hasya Kavi Sammelan’ (Humorous Poets’ Meet), promising a delightful experience for poetry lovers.

The festival is open to students, literature lovers, and the general public, offering a rare opportunity to engage with celebrated authors and explore diverse literary perspectives.
