Andaman & Nicobar Rowing Team Shines at 42nd Senior National Rowing Championship

The Andaman & Nicobar Rowing team has delivered an impressive performance at the 42nd Senior National Rowing Championship, held in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, from March 3 to 8, 2025. The team’s remarkable achievements reinforce the region’s growing prowess in the sport.

Amrita Minj secured a Silver Medal in the Women’s Single Sculls (1x) event, demonstrating her exceptional strength and skill. This victory adds to her recent Bronze Medal win at the National Games 2025, further establishing her as one of the leading rowers in the country.

In another significant achievement, the quartet of Sneha Toppo, P. Alagammal, B. Haritha, and B. Haripriya earned qualification for the 39th National Games in Meghalaya. This milestone underscores Andaman & Nicobar’s rising stature in Indian rowing.

Additionally, Sneha Toppo and P. Alagammal had earlier secured a Silver Medal at the National Junior Rowing Championship held in Pune in December 2024. These talented athletes are currently undergoing intensive training at the Sports Authority of India (SAI), reflecting their dedication and commitment to excellence.

The Andaman & Nicobar Rowing team continues to make waves on the national stage, proving their mettle against the country’s best. With their latest accomplishments, they are setting the stage for even greater success in upcoming national and international competitions.
