19-Year-Old Prem Nagar Resident Arrested for Motorcycle Theft

The Aberdeen Police have arrested a 19-year-old youth for stealing a motorcycle from the Prem Nagar area, following swift investigation and coordinated efforts by the police team.

On January 28, 2025, a complaint was lodged at Police Station Aberdeen regarding the theft of a motorcycle parked near the complainant’s residence in Prem Nagar. Acting on the complaint, a case was registered under relevant sections of the law, and the investigation was assigned to Head Constable Shiv Nath.

A dedicated team comprising Head Constables Shiv Nath and Sunil Singh Yadav, along with Police Constables P. Mohammed Rafique, Surender Singh Yadav, and K. Jagdish Babu, was formed to trace the stolen vehicle and apprehend the accused.

During the investigation, the team identified a modified motorcycle of the same make and model but without number plates. Upon verifying the engine and chassis numbers, it was confirmed that the vehicle was the one stolen from Prem Nagar.

Following a thorough interrogation, the accused, a 19-Year-Old resident of Prem Nagar, confessed to the crime. He was subsequently arrested and produced before the Hon’ble Court, where he was remanded to judicial custody.

The investigation was conducted under the supervision of Inspector Vishal Ram, SHO, PS Aberdeen, and was closely monitored by Mr. Vikas, IPS, SDPO, South Andaman.
