As part of the International Year of Cooperatives–2025 celebrations, an awareness program was organized on Friday at BVB Mondal Public Secondary School, Diglipur, to promote student engagement in the cooperative movement and encourage the adoption of cooperative values for a more inclusive and sustainable future.
The session was led by Mr. Ajit Singh, Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies (ARCS-I), Diglipur, accompanied by Mr. K. Simachalam, Inspector of Cooperative Societies, and Mr. Saikat Nath, Sub-Inspector of Cooperative Societies.
Addressing the gathering, the officials emphasized the pivotal role of cooperatives in fostering rural development and empowering communities. They urged students to take an active interest in cooperative initiatives and highlighted core principles such as self-help, democracy, equality, and solidarity.
The event drew enthusiastic participation from both students and faculty members, indicating a growing awareness and appreciation of cooperative ideals among the younger generation.
