The Day & Night Sports Department Football Tournament – 2025 for men, organized by the Department of Sports, kicked off on April 21 at the JNRM Football Ground in Sri Vijaya Puram.
Inaugurating the tournament, Mr. Vikram Singh, Director (Sports), extended his best wishes to all participants and encouraged the teams to play with true sportsmanship. A total of 24 teams from youth clubs, government and private institutions, and local clubs are participating in the tournament.
Earlier in the event, Mr. Mohammed Irshad Ahmed, Assistant Director (Sports & Physical Education), Directorate of Education, welcomed the gathering.
The opening match saw a close contest between Meshack Sporting Club and JNRM, with JNRM edging out their opponents 1-0 to secure the first win of the tournament.
