The Department of Education is all set to host the 7th Inter-Zonal State Level Football League-cum-Knockout Tournament for Under-17 Boys from May 22 to 26, 2025. The high-energy tournament will be held across two venues — Netaji Stadium and the JNRM Football Ground.
A total of 144 young footballers, accompanied by 18 officials, representing nine Educational Zones, will compete in a series of matches played simultaneously at both grounds. The tournament aims to promote sporting talent and encourage competitive spirit among school students.
The opening match is scheduled for May 22 at 3 PM at Netaji Stadium, marking the official start of the week-long sporting event.
The school team that emerges victorious will earn the honour of representing the Andaman and Nicobar Islands in the prestigious 64th Subroto Cup Football Tournament, slated to be held in New Delhi during August–September 2025.
