India’s first dedicated Multi-Disciplinary Sports Training Centre for Persons with Disabilities, established under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, is now accepting applications for admission to its 2025–26 batch.
The state-of-the-art centre – Atal Bihari Vajpayee Training Centre for Disability Sports in Gwalior, aims to empower Divyang athletes and promote inclusive sports excellence across the country. It offers world-class infrastructure, professional coaching, residential facilities, dietary support, competitive exposure, and assistance with school and college admissions for selected para-athletes.
The upcoming selection trials will be held from June 16 to 18, 2025, covering six disciplines: Athletics, Badminton, Football, Table Tennis, Swimming, and Volleyball. The trials are open to athletes aged 13 to 25 years (as on June 10, 2025) who meet eligibility criteria such as national or international classification, participation, or medal achievements.
The last date to submit applications is June 10, 2025, by post, before 5:30 PM.
