The Directorate of Social Welfare, Andaman and Nicobar Administration, has extended an invitation to eligible NGOs, Trusts, and Non-Profit Organizations to actively participate in the Deendayal Disabled Rehabilitation Scheme (DDRS), a key initiative of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India.

The DDRS is aimed at empowering Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) by providing financial assistance to voluntary organizations engaged in services such as special education, vocational training, early intervention, and rehabilitation.

Officials from the Directorate have called upon local organizations to make a meaningful impact on the lives of PwDs by leveraging the support offered under the scheme. The initiative is designed to enhance the quality of life and ensure greater inclusion of individuals with disabilities across the islands.

Interested organizations seeking to participate have been advised to contact the Directorate of Social Welfare at Sri Vijaya Puram for detailed guidance on the scheme’s objectives, eligibility criteria, and application procedures.
