The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced the commencement of admissions for its Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online programmes for the July 2025 academic session.
A wide range of academic programmes are being offered, including Certificate, Diploma, Post-Graduate Diploma, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate degrees in diverse disciplines such as Arts, Science, Commerce, Humanities, Journalism and Mass Communication, Computer and Information Science, Agriculture, Health Sciences, Indian and Foreign Languages, Translation Studies, and more.
One of the key advantages of IGNOU is the absence of an upper age limit for applicants, making higher education accessible to learners of all age groups. Additionally, as per UGC guidelines, students can simultaneously pursue two degrees or diploma programmes—either one through distance mode and one through regular mode, or both through distance learning.
For students belonging to SC/ST categories, IGNOU offers a 50% fee exemption on select programmes such as Bachelor of Arts (BAG), Bachelor of Commerce (BCOMF), and Bachelor of Science (BSCM). Furthermore, applicants are not required to submit a Transfer Certificate from their previous institution, simplifying the admission process.
Interested candidates can apply online by visiting https://ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in until 15th July 2025.
