In a vibrant display of unity and wellness, Nayagaon Mandal of BJP marked International Yoga Day 2025 with a community-wide celebration at Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, Ward No. 10. The event brought together residents, students, and prominent dignitaries to highlight yoga’s growing significance in combating modern-day challenges like digital fatigue, sedentary lifestyles, and mental stress.
Organised under the leadership of Mrs. Sheela Singh, BJP State Vice President, and Mandal President Mr. Muralidharan, the event featured special guests Mr. Kanakala Narsimha Murthy, BJP State General Secretary (Puducherry), and Mr. Gyan Chandra Vansh, Directional Driller at Oil India Limited. The session was conducted under the expert guidance of Yoga Instructor Mr. Jawahar Das, who led participants through a series of asanas, pranayama, and meditation exercises designed to promote physical vitality, mental clarity, and emotional balance.
Speaking at the event, Mrs. Sheela Singh remarked, “This gathering proves yoga’s power to unite people across generations while providing tangible tools against digital exhaustion. Its accessible movements combat sedentary habits, its mindfulness techniques alleviate anxiety from information overload, and its practice fosters bonds in an increasingly disconnected world.”
The celebration not only emphasized the therapeutic and preventive benefits of yoga but also underscored its role as a unifying force in society, bridging age groups and social segments through shared practice and purpose.
