State-Level Training on Panchayat Advancement Index (PAI) 2.0 Held at Marine Hill

In a bid to strengthen grassroots governance through data-driven mechanisms, the Directorate of Rural Development, PRIs & ULBs, A&N Administration organized a one-day State-Level Training Programme on Panchayat Advancement Index (PAI) 2.0 on June 30, 2025. The training was held at the SPRC Training Hall, Marine Hill, Sri Vijaya Puram.

The programme was inaugurated by Ms. K.A. Prameela, Assistant Director (RD/P), who highlighted the growing importance of performance evaluation tools like PAI in enhancing the effectiveness and accountability of Panchayati Raj Institutions. She stressed that PAI 2.0 will serve as a valuable framework for promoting transparency and evidence-based planning at the panchayat level.

The training brought together Block Development Officers, officials from various Line Departments, Panchayat Secretaries, RGSA team members, and staff from the Rural Development Department. Participants were provided with in-depth orientation on the methodology, key indicators, and implementation strategy of PAI 2.0, which is designed to assess and benchmark Panchayat performance across critical governance and service delivery parameters.

Four expert Master Trainers led various technical sessions during the day, sharing insights and best practices for effective implementation of the framework.

Conducted under the Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA), the training programme reaffirmed the Administration’s commitment to empowering local governance structures through accountability, performance tracking, and data-centric planning.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Jitesh Dubey, Extension Officer.
