In a heartwarming gesture of inclusivity and care, the Innerwheel Club of Sri Vijaya Puram (Port Blair) organized a special movie screening for Divyang (specially-abled) children of the Composite Regional Centre (CRC), Brookshabad. The screening of the acclaimed film Taare Zameen Par was held at Divyum Talkies on 30th June 2025 and witnessed the enthusiastic participation of children, their parents, caregivers, and CRC staff.
The event was conceived not only to offer a joyful and enriching experience to the children but also to raise awareness among parents and caregivers about the emotional and psychological needs of persons with special abilities. For many of the children, it was their first visit to a cinema hall — an experience marked by smiles, dancing, and unfiltered joy.
The occasion was graced by Ms. Neeta Agrawal, President of the Innerwheel Club, along with Charter President Raj Mahajan, Joint Secretary Ms. Priya Krishna, and other Club members. Ms. Sumitha, Director of CRC, Sri Vijaya Puram, was also present with her dedicated team to support and encourage the young attendees.
The initiative received generous support from Rtn. Diwakar Moorthy of AKT Entertainments, whose contribution played a key role in the smooth execution of the event.
Through this meaningful initiative, the Innerwheel Club once again underscored its commitment to fostering empathy, inclusion, and community support.
