Aberdeen Police Swiftly Solve Two Theft Cases; Stolen Items Recovered, Accused Persons Apprehended

Exemplifying professionalism and relentless investigative work, the team of Police Station Aberdeen has successfully solved two separate theft cases reported on June 28, 2025, leading to the recovery of stolen items and the arrest of the accused.

In the first incident, a complaint was received regarding the theft of a bag containing a laptop, cash, and important original documents from the STS Bus Terminus. In the second case, approximately 200 tins of Baghban Zarda, valued at around ₹32,000, were reported stolen from a pan shop in Junglighat.

Acting swiftly, a dedicated police team was formed under the leadership of SI Abhishek GSP, consisting of HC Sunil Singh Yadav and PCs K. Jairaj, Surender Singh Yadav, and K. Jagdish Babu. Utilizing technical surveillance and local intelligence, the team meticulously traced and apprehended the accused in both cases.

In connection with the bag theft, one Nagraj Muthuswamy, 44, son of Late Muthuswamy and a resident of Shadipur, was arrested. During interrogation, he confessed to the crime. In the case of the pan shop theft, two Childs in Conflict with Law (CCLs) were apprehended for their involvement.

The investigations were conducted under the command of Inspector Vishal Ram, SHO, PS Aberdeen, with guidance from Mr. Ajay Kumar Rai, DANIPS, SDPO South Andaman, and under the overall supervision of Mr. Manoj Kumar Meena, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District.
