The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will commence the Compartment and Supplementary Examinations 2025 in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands from July 15. The Class XII examination is scheduled for July 15, while the Class X examinations will be held from July 15 to July 22.

A total of 1,253 students from the Union Territory are expected to appear for these examinations. Of these, 569 students will take the exams under the Compartment category—261 from Class X and 308 from Class XII—while 684 students will appear for Improvement exams, comprising 313 from Class X and 371 from Class XII.

To facilitate the smooth conduct of the examinations, CBSE has identified 12 examination centres across the Islands for students appearing in both the All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE) for Class XII and the All India Secondary School Examination (AISSE) for Class X. In order to ensure the safe custody of confidential examination materials, designated nationalized banks and local police stations will serve as official custodians.

The Regional Officer of CBSE, Chennai, has appointed Centre Superintendents at all examination centres to oversee and ensure the fair and transparent conduct of the exams. All necessary arrangements have been made to closely monitor the process and ensure the smooth execution of the examinations across the Union Territory. (Story Based on PR)
