The Andaman Association of Tour Operators (AATO) is actively participating in the India International Travel Mart (IITM) Bengaluru 2025, showcasing the tourism potential of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The event is being held from 24th to 26th July at Tripura Vasini, Palace Grounds.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Mr. Pasang Dorjee Sona, Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, Education, Rural Works, Parliamentary Affairs and Libraries, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, who attended as the Chief Guest.
Mr. M. Vinod, President of AATO, was invited as one of the Guests of Honours at the event. He is leading a 20+ member delegation from AATO, participating through three key channels:
– The Department of Tourism, A&N Administration stall
– The Ministry of Tourism pavilion
– Individual stalls set up by AATO members
This extensive participation aims to highlight the Andaman & Nicobar Islands as a premier tourist destination, focusing on eco-tourism, adventure sports, cultural heritage, and the region’s pristine natural environment.
Speaking at the event, Mr. M. Vinod thanked the Hon’ble Lt. Governor of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, as well as the Secretary (Tourism) and Director (Tourism), for their support and for enabling AATO’s participation in such prestigious platforms.
He also expressed appreciation to the IITM organizers, stating, “IITM continues to serve as an excellent platform that brings together tourism professionals, state tourism bodies, and the travel trade under one roof. It significantly enhances destination visibility and fosters new opportunities for collaboration and growth.”
AATO reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable and responsible tourism development in the islands and expressed its intent to continue participating in national and international travel exhibitions in the future.
