The shifting of two gravity main lines from Dhanikhari Dam to the Lambaline Water Treatment Plant is currently underway. As part of this work, the interconnection of the existing gravity main line with the newly laid 450 mm gravity main line is scheduled for August 2 and 3, 2025.
Due to this, the raw water supply to the Lambaline Treatment Plant and the Water Treatment Plant at Garacharma is expected to be affected during the interconnection period. Consequently, water supply in the municipal areas served by the command tanks at Buniyadabad and Garacharma CWR Complex may also face disruptions.
SVPMC officials have been requested by APWD to plan water distribution accordingly during this period.
The general public is advised to conserve water and use drinking water judiciously. Additionally, tanker water supply will be made available from Jawahar Sarovar to assist residents during the disruption.
