KVIB Extends Deadline for Free Skill Development Training Programs for Youth

The Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB) is inviting applications for a series of free Skill Development Training Programs aimed at empowering unemployed youth in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The initiative targets individuals who have passed at least Class VIII and are interested in acquiring vocational skills to set up their own micro or small enterprises.

These practical, hands-on training programs will offer expert guidance, mentoring, and post-training assistance under relevant government schemes to support the establishment of individual livelihood ventures.

The training will be conducted in the following trades:

– Manufacturing of coconut shell handicrafts (15 days)

– Manufacturing of handicrafts from pandanus leaves, coir, or coconut shell (15 days)

– Fast food stall operations (2 weeks)

– Beautician course (1 month)

– Poultry or dairy farming (1 month)

The last date for submission of applications, previously set for July 31, 2025, has now been extended to August 20, 2025.

Application forms are available at the Office of the Khadi and Village Industries Board, Udyog Parisar Complex, Middle Point, Sri Vijaya Puram, and at the Industries Department’s extension offices located in Bakultala, Diglipur, Hutbay, and Car Nicobar. Forms can also be downloaded from the official website: http://andaman.gov.in/An. Completed forms must be submitted at the KVIB office.
