In a significant crackdown on narcotics, Diglipur police successfully disrupted an illegal drug supply chain in Subashgram and Sitanagar, resulting in the arrest of three individuals and the seizure of nearly two kilograms of ganja.

Acting on credible intelligence, a special team was formed under the guidance of Mr. Ankesh Yadav, DANIPS, SDPO Diglipur, with Insp. Vijay Kumar, SHO PS Diglipur, leading the operation. The team, including SI Abdul Shakil, HC Sanjit Madhu, PCs Ashish Kr. Singh, Yasir Arafat, Bijoy Sarkar, Susen Das, P.L Venkatesh, Reena Rani Roy, Sujata Das, Sagarika Roy, and two independent witnesses, swiftly moved to intercept the suspects.

During the initial search at Subashgram, approximately one kilogram of illicit ganja was recovered from the possession of Sujay Bala, a resident of Ward No. 5, Subashgram, Diglipur. Following sustained interrogation, Sujay revealed the involvement of two more individuals: Aman Halder, 23, a resident of Ward No. 2, Sitanagar, and Bikram Baroi of Ward No. 5, Subashgram. Subsequent raids led to the arrest of both individuals and the recovery of an additional 800 grams of ganja.

In total, the operation resulted in the seizure of around 1.900 kilograms of illicit ganja, effectively dismantling a local network engaged in drug peddling. All three accused have been booked under the NDPS Act, and investigations are ongoing.
