The Department of Environment and Forests, Andaman and Nicobar Administration, has invited applications from bonafide residents of Shaheed Dweep for the issuance of permits to collect sea sand. The approval for the same has been granted by the competent authority.
Applicants are required to submit valid land records certified by the Revenue Authority, along with a copy of their identity card for verification. The applications must be submitted in person to the Camp Officer at Shaheed Dweep Forest Camp between 6 am and 2 pm.
The last date for submission of applications, complete with all valid documents, has been fixed for September 8, 2025, up to 2 pm. Officials have clarified that no applications will be entertained after the deadline.
