In a significant crackdown on illicit alcohol, the Excise Team, under the supervision of SDPO Diglipur, conducted a successful raid at Fisheries Colony, Mayabunder, seizing a large cache of illegal liquor. The confiscated items included 14 bottles of 750 ml IMFL, 1 bottle of 375 ml IMFL, 29 bottles of 180 ml IMFL, and 2 partially filled 750 ml bottles (approximately 200 ml each), along with a measuring cup.
The operation, carried out under the vigilant leadership of Mr. Ankesh Yadav, DANIPS, SDPO Diglipur, was supported by team members PC/1532 K. Ismail, PC/2823 Soma Dey, PC/2563 Sushen Das, and PC/1889 Subrata Biswas, whose professionalism and dedication were pivotal to the raid’s success.
The North & Middle Andaman District Police reaffirmed its commitment to curbing illegal activities and maintaining law and order across the Diglipur Sub-Division.
