A blood donation camp was organized at the BJP Office, Middle Point, on 25th September 2025, on the occasion of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Jayanti. The event was jointly facilitated by the Andaman & Nicobar AIDS Control Society (ANACS) and the Blood Centre of G.B. Pant Hospital, Directorate of Health Services.
A total of 30 units of blood were donated by voluntary donors during the camp. The technical team from G.B. Pant Hospital, Sri Vijaya Puram, along with ANACS, ensured that all donated blood units were screened for blood-transmissible diseases. Donors were also examined for eligibility before donation.
The camp was coordinated by Dr. Divya, Junior Resident at ANIIMS, G.B. Pant Hospital, who briefed donors about the importance and various aspects of blood donation. Certificates were distributed to all voluntary donors in recognition of their contribution.
The event highlighted the significance of voluntary blood donation and community participation in health initiatives.
