National Talent Hunt Competitions Launched Under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan

The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, has launched the National Talent Hunt Competitions under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) on the MyGov platform. The initiative seeks to raise awareness on drug demand reduction while encouraging creativity and positive engagement among youth across the country.

The competitions will be held in three stages:

  • District Level – Quiz: September 25 to October 24, 2025
  • State/UT Level – Essay Writing: October 27 to November 7, 2025
  • National Level – Elocution/Group Discussion: Second week of November 2025

Winners at each stage will be given an opportunity to showcase their talent and will receive suitable recognition.

Highlighting the importance of the campaign, the Directorate of Social Welfare, A&N Administration, has appealed to students, youth, and educational institutions in the Islands to actively participate in the competitions through the MyGov portal (www.mygov.in).

The initiative aims to engage young minds, spread awareness about the ill effects of substance abuse, and contribute towards building a drug-free society.
