In a recent operation aimed at protecting Government land, the Revenue Department of South Andaman dismantled an unauthorised structure at Sitapur village, Shaheed Dweep. The structure, a katcha shop built on Government revenue land near Sitapur Beach, was removed, restoring 60 square meters of land to its original state.
The Deputy Commissioner of South Andaman has issued a stern warning to the public, emphasizing that the Administration maintains a zero-tolerance policy against encroachments. He cautioned that strict action will be taken not only against those occupying Government land illegally but also against anyone found aiding or abetting such activities.
Residents with information on illegal encroachments are urged to contact the District Control Room at 03192-240127, 238881, 1070, or via WhatsApp at 9531888844. The authorities assured that the identity of informants will be kept confidential to protect them.
