Andaman and Nicobar Islands reported five new COVID-19 positive cases recently. All five COVID-19 cases detected in the Islands are Airport Arrivals. On 21st September 2021, A & N Islands has 17 active cases of COVID-19.
Three patients were discharged from the hospital in the last 24 hours. Out of the 17 active cases of COVID-19, 16 cases have been reported from South Andaman District and one case has been reported from North and Middle Andaman District. Nicobar District is currently COVID-19 free.

Altogether Andaman and Nicobar Islands has reported 7607 confirmed cases of COVID-19 since March of 2020. Out of the 7607 confirmed cases, 7461 have recovered from COVID-19 and 129 people have lost their lives.
Andaman and Nicobar Islands currently has 6376 isolation beds in all three districts combined out of which 6359 are currently available. 5,34,985 samples have been tested in the Islands for COVID-19 till 21st of September 2021. The cumulative test positivity rate of Andaman and Nicobar Islands currently stands at 1.42%.
2,99,367 incoming passengers have been tested for COVID-19 at Veer Savarkar International Airport, Port Blair till 20th of September 2021.
