The ANIRLM extended its heartfelt gratitude to the Administration and the public for their continuous encouragement and support. The Directorate of Rural Development remains committed to promoting sustainable livelihoods and supporting local artisans and producers through such initiatives.
In a separate gesture of support, the Andaman & Nicobar Command recently allowed SHG members to participate in its Diwali Mela, providing a significant platform for rural women to showcase their handmade products directly to defence personnel and their families. The inclusion of SHG members in this prestigious event fostered economic empowerment and encouraged the enterprising spirit of rural women. The total sales recorded at this venue on October 18 and 19 amounted to approximately ₹51,415.
By opening its doors to SHG members, the Defence establishment has exemplified a commendable spirit of community partnership, enabling artisans to display a rich variety of hand-crafted goods reflecting their skill and dedication.
