Training on Integrated Farming Clusters Held at Prothrapur Block

The Andaman & Nicobar Islands Rural Livelihood Mission (ANIRLM), in collaboration with the National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR), Hyderabad, organized a four-day training programme on Integrated Farming Clusters (IFC) at the Community Development Block, Prothrapur. The programme is aimed at building the capacities of newly recruited staff, block-level functionaries, and members of Self Help Groups (SHGs).

Inaugurating the training, Dr. Apurva Sharma, Director (Rural Development), highlighted the significance of integrated farming as a sustainable model for livelihood enhancement. He emphasized that the approach not only boosts income diversification but also strengthens the resilience of rural households. Dr. Sharma urged participants to make the most of the sessions and implement the learning effectively in the field for successful execution of IFC initiatives.

The technical sessions are being conducted by Mr. Babu Rao, Resource Person from NIRDPR, Hyderabad. During the course of the training, participants will be exposed to the concepts, components, and operational frameworks of Integrated Farming Clusters. The sessions will also include discussions on field-level implementation strategies, convergence with other government schemes, and community-based livelihood interventions.
