The Election Commission of India has launched a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll across the Union Territory of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, to ensure accuracy and inclusion of all eligible voters. The Draft Electoral Roll will be published on December 9, 2025.

To make sure your name appears in the draft roll, every registered voter as on October 27, 2025, under the Andaman & Nicobar Islands Parliamentary Constituency must fill a fresh enumeration form during this SIR. The enumeration process will be conducted from November 4 to December 4, 2025, and will involve house-to-house visits by Booth Level Officers (BLOs).

  1. When and How BLOs Will Visit You:

Between November 4 and December 4, 2025, BLOs will visit every household — up to three times if necessary — to distribute pre-printed enumeration forms in duplicate. Voters do not need to submit any documents during this enumeration phase.

The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) has urged every elector to cooperate fully with the BLOs during their visits to ensure successful completion of the revision process.

2. Verify the Pre-Printed Details on the Enumeration Form:

Each form will already have some information printed, including the voter’s name, EPIC number, address, Part number and name, Constituency name, and photograph.

Voters must carefully verify these details.

3. Fill in Missing Information:

After checking the pre-printed details, voters must fill in all missing fields in the enumeration form. These include:

  • Date of Birth
  • Aadhaar Number (optional)
  • Mobile Number
  • Parent’s Name
  • EPIC Numbers

Voters can also attach a new photograph in the space provided.

4. Link with the Last SIR Roll (2002):

A new section has been introduced in this year’s enumeration form, requiring voters to trace and link their name — or their parent’s name — in the electoral roll from the last Intensive Revision held in 2002.

To facilitate this, the part-wise 2002 electoral roll has been made available on the CEO’s website in PDF format: https://www.ceoandaman.nic.in/election/E-ROLL-2002/default.htm

A dedicated search facility is also provided at: https://ceo.andamannicobar.gov.in/sir2002/

Using this link, electors can easily search their or their parent’s name by entering any of the required details.

5. For Voters Who Have Migrated from Other States:

Voters who have shifted or migrated from other States but are presently included in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands Parliamentary Constituency must visit their respective State CEO’s website or the Election Commission of India’s official portal at https://voters.eci.gov.in/ to trace or link their name or their parent’s name in the electoral rolls prepared during the last SIR held in their State.

6. Sign and Prepare the Form for Collection:

Once all details have been filled and the linkage with the 2002 roll is established, voters must sign the completed enumeration form and keep it ready.

If some family members are not present during the enumeration phase, a senior family member may sign on their behalf. The BLOs will also provide assistance wherever required to ensure the form is filled correctly.

7. Submission and Acknowledgement:

During the next visit, the BLO will collect the completed enumeration form and issue an acknowledgement copy to the voter as proof of receipt.

Voters are advised to refer to the information sheet printed on the reverse side of the form for detailed guidance. For any queries or assistance, electors should contact their respective Booth Level Officer, whose name and contact number are pre-printed on the form.

8. Cooperate Fully During Enumeration:

The Chief Electoral Officer, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, has requested all voters to extend their full cooperation to BLOs during the enumeration period. BLOs will visit every household as part of this major exercise, which is essential for maintaining an accurate and inclusive electoral roll.

The Election Commission reaffirmed its guiding principle:

“No Eligible Voter to be Left Out, and No Ineligible Person is Included in the Electoral Roll.”
