AATO Members to Represent Isles at 13th International Tourism Mart in Sikkim

Three representatives of the Andaman Association of Tour Operators (AATO) — Mr. M. Vinod, President; Mr. Saikat Biswas, Joint Secretary; and Ms. Bhugneshwari, Executive Committee Member — are proceeding to Gangtok, Sikkim, to participate in the 13th International Tourism Mart for the North East Region, scheduled from November 13 to 16, 2025.

The participation of AATO members has been facilitated and nominated by the Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI), while the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India is managing the entire programme.

The inaugural session of the event will be attended by several eminent dignitaries, including Mr. Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Hon’ble Union Minister of Tourism and Culture; Mr. Prem Singh Tamang, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Sikkim; and Mr. Pema Khandu, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, along with senior officials from the Ministry of Tourism and the Government of Sikkim.

The International Tourism Mart serves as a premier platform to showcase the diverse tourism potential of the North Eastern States, encourage regional collaboration, and facilitate networking among tourism stakeholders, buyers, and media representatives.

Expressing gratitude, Mr. M. Vinod, President of AATO, thanked ADTOI and the Ministry of Tourism for providing an opportunity to represent the Andaman & Nicobar Islands at this prestigious national event, which he said will help strengthen tourism linkages between the Islands and the North Eastern Region.
