Admiral D.K. Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.), Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Vice Chairman of the Islands Development Agency, recently participated in Bharat Parv, a 15-day cultural festival celebrating India’s rich diversity. The event, held at Ekta Nagar, Kevadia in Gujarat, marked the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India.
During his visit, the Lt. Governor toured the Andaman and Nicobar Pavilion, where the islands’ unique heritage and offerings were showcased. He also witnessed the cultural performances presented as part of the national celebration.
The festival, which commenced on November 1 and concluded on November 15, 2025, culminated with a grand tribute to tribal icon Bhagwan Birsa Munda on his 150th birth anniversary. Bharat Parv was jointly organised by the Ministry of Culture, Gujarat Tourism, and the Department of Youth and Cultural Affairs. (Story Based on PR)
